MAGGIE, approx. 3 y/o female Weimaraner. This girl loves everyone and wants to be a lap dog! She is passive with other dogs, so easy to introduce to new surroundings. Although, she is a little timid at first, with new homes and people. Her original owner gave her to friends because she was moving and could not keep her, but the friends did not know about the Weimaraner breed's need for attention and exercise, and they work full time and just had a baby. Fortunately, Maggie loved playing with their Beagle/Poodle mix, and patiently stayed in the kitchen/laundry area with him while the couple was at work. Today, she is in foster with two Weimaraners and having a great time. One of her bad habits is jumping on people, which her foster parents are working on correcting. She will also steal food whenever she has the chance (counters, laps, etc.) Maggie loves to gnaw on her Nylabones and play Fetch! (sometimes she has to be coaxed to give the ball back.) She also loves her crate, she will take naps in her crate with the door open during the day. Maggie is in need of obedience training and must have daily exercise and lots of love! She is too active for babies and toddlers, but great with kids age 4 and over, if able to handle her jumping. Cats?
